From 1942 to the present day, the club has prospered and accomplished it's aims of assistance to Danes and integration into their new country, New Zealand.
- 1942 -The original Danish Association in N.Z. (Inc.) Constitution and Rules.
- 1946 - Report of "The Free Danes Organisation in New Zealand".
- 1947 - Report of N.Z. Danish Society first year.
- 1958 - The Danish Society Inc., Certificate of Incorporation.
- 1966 - Celebrating the opening of the Danish House in Parnell. Booklet and Royal Telegram
- 1991 - 25th anniversary of the Danish House in Parnell
- 1991 - This is your life "the Danish Society"
- 1992 - 50th anniversary of Danish Society
Most of the pictures and information in the gallery below relating to the Danish Association was copied from an album of newspaper clippings and photos collected by Otto and Nina Hadrup. Thanks to this collection we have been able to discover more about the Danish Society history in Auckland.
The Danish Association in N.Z.
The Danish Association in N.Z. was established at the start of WWII with the objectives of helping the Allies drive the German forces out of Denmark and assisting the Danish people through their difficulties. >
War Effort

The Association met for fellowship and social events like Christmas and Dancing. >
Finding a Home for the Club
In the mid 1950s the members sought to establish their own clubhouse. This evenually came to be with the acquisition of the Picture Palace in Parnell. With substantial financial and building effort from members this became their first club facility. This was followed by a new building in Penrose. >
